Dr. Pasi Karppinen

Dr. Pasi Karppinen holds a PhD in Information Processing Science from the University of Oulu, specializing in behavior change support systems. He also has a Master’s degree in Humanities from the same institution. Dr. Karppinen is a Senior Researcher in the Data, Governance & Communities unit at SMIT. His research primarily focuses on evidence-based decision-making systems in the public sector, with a keen interest in personal data governance. His areas of interest include smart cities, the metaverse, persuasive technology, mydata and social sustainability.
