Eusebie Huysman
Biography
Eusebie Huysman is a researcher in communication sciences with a strong interest in critical and interdisciplinary approaches to digital media and inequality. Her PhD research examines how social media platforms reproduce and shape digital and social inequalities through their architectures, interfaces, and affordances.
Moving beyond individual-centred understandings of the digital divide, she investigates how platform design structures opportunities for online participation, visibility, engagement, and skill development, and how these processes shape real-life outcomes across different social and cultural contexts.
Using mixed-method approaches, her work sits at the intersection of communication studies, platform studies, and digital inequality research.
