Ibe Delvaux

Ibe Delvaux studied communication sciences at KU Leuven and developed a love for communication and behavioural change. She also followed a Master in Management at Antwerp Management School to discover more about the different fields of an organisation. After working as a junior strategy consultant in a marketing agency, she found her place at SMIT.

Ibe researches how (governments' and NGOs') communication strategies can increase pro-environmental behaviour. Her PhD project uses an interdisciplinary approach to communication studies, integrating environmental psychology, audience studies, and identity theory in environmental communication. Her research lies in the field of social marketing, where marketing principles and behavioural insights are used to create behaviour change to tackle social issues.
