Runa Ziegler

Runa has a background in Political Science with a Bachelor in International Relations from Malmö University and a Master in Democracy, Citizenship and Change from Dalarna University. She later combined the interests for politics and communication in a research-focused Master in Media and Communication Sciences at Mid Sweden University, focusing on Political Communication on digital platforms.

At imec-SMIT, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Runa works as a Doctoral Researcher in the Doctoral Network “Revisioning Public Interest Media", funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks. Her focus in this context is how Public Interest Media collaborate with each other as well as with other actors; in particular considering the role of global platforms.
