Yuhui Olivia Chen

Yuhui Olivia Chen is a researcher in communication science under the supervision of Dr. Gaëlle Ouvrein. Her research explores how social and digital media shape individual well-being across dating, health, and youth-focused contexts. She aims to identify both the benefits and risks of media use and to empower vulnerable groups who are less likely to benefit from media effects, such as adolescents, migrants, and parents.

She is also passionate about applying mixed research methods to best address complex research questions. Her methodological expertise includes data donation, structural equation modeling, experiments, and go-along interviews.
