Perle Petit

Perle Petit joined the Digital Inclusion & Citizen Engagement (DICE) Unit in November 2023, as a researcher on citizen participation and engagement in the EU. She is currently working on the inclusion of minority and marginalised communities within governance, policy, and decision-making structures. 

Prior to joining imec-SMIT, VUB, Perle studied for a BA (Hons) and MA at Queens’ College, University of Cambridge and an MSc at the University of Amsterdam in Political Science (International Relations). Previously, she worked as a think-tanker on projects relating to European democracy, both in terms of member-state backsliding and the EU’s institutional process and democratic instruments, focusing on transnational citizen participation and deliberative exercises in the EU.
